  • May is mental health month apparently (every month should be considered that but whatever), so I thought I'd share this. Anxiety is a pretty common issue but when you have anxiety to the point of literally wanting to rip your skin off that's a different feeling. It feels like you're drowning, needing to get to the surface but you're tied down with a cinderblock. Breathing is no longer an option. All you want is a way out. Anxiety is also the start of what can be a downward spiral (at least for me anyway). Anxiety, then depression, then wanting to disappear. This past week I've wanted to disappear completely so bad that it actually is causing me physical pain. My emotions have been so overwhelming that all I want to do is escape them in any way possible. I dont know how I've gotten here, backsliding into all my behaviors of self-destruction. And hiding it was an option in the past but not anymore. I can't hide how I feel. It just spills out. And you know what? That's fucking okay.
